It has been a long time since I posted and so many quilts and so many things have gone on. I have basiclly not been quilting for almost a year. A year ago my mother in law moved in and my life became a constant rush. I love my MIL but culturally things are not always easy. So the last year was relatively difficult. Then a few months ago they decided to go back and see there daughters for a while. And so here I am back to sewing, quilting and just creating anything and everything. Sadly I do not have 1/2 the time I wish I could. This year I resigned my position at the cooperative. The cooperative was becoming increasingly time consuming yet my pay was constantly decreasing because they just could not afford to pay me for all my hours but as more and more people resigned, they just kept heaping their responsibility on the only one left.
So this year I thought, keep it simple, tutor from home, you will only have a few students and it will be quiet. HEHEHE. Well it seems now the cooperative has moved to my home. Not only do I still have many of the kids from my cooperative. I have 2 more groups of kids at different times, so I am now tutoring from 9am to 7pm each day. Thank God. An idol mind is the devils playground lol. No room for the devil in this playground. On top of that I have so many projects I have had to do this year.
The picture above is a quick quilt I made for a family friend living in UK. I just love to quilt roses on everything and this quilt was no exception. There is something about a baby girl and roses.

Here is project number 2 My daugther wanted a 98$ backpack with monogram she saw on line. but lets face it on my income that was not even a possibility. So we worked together and this is what we came up with. For years I have dealt with the aaaah MOM! girl. Can you believe it she told me this bag was AWESOME. You have to be pretty amazing to impress a 15 year old girl LOL.
Here is project number three.
Here is project number three.
What looks like a mess on my living room floor is actually a t-shirt quilt in progress. It may be hard to tell at this point, when it is just a stack of squares in many different stages. But this is working out to be one of my best T-shirt quilts yet. I hope to be able to post the rest of the quilt tomorrow.
